This decision has not come easily. A significant and sustained decline in revenue—due to rising operating costs and evolving market dynamics—has made ongoing operations no longer feasible.

Pinwheels Early Literacy Curriculum
Access to the Pinwheels online resource center will remain available through June 30, 2026.
Please sign in to your Rooted Shop Account and download all program files from Module 2 before that date, as they will no longer be available or hosted afterward.
In June 2026, Pinwheels instructional videos will be made available for free via a "Pinwheels + Wand" public playlist on the Rooted in Language YouTube channel, at least through July 15, 2028.

Access to all educator training courses will end June 30, 2026.
All course videos and downloads will no longer be available or hosted after that date, including all educator training courses delivered through your Rooted Shop Account, as well as all legacy courses delivered through YouTube video links.
Before June 30, 2026, please sign in to your Rooted Shop Account to:
- Download all course files
- Complete any remaining video lessons
For legacy courses, use the provided YouTube links in your instructional plan to access and complete any remaining video lessons prior to June 30, 2026.

School Licensed Programs
Annual subscriptions for the Pinwheels, Wand, and Grammar School Licenses, as well as all Group Training Licenses, will continue until your 2025-2026 subscription expiration date or June 30, 2026, whichever is sooner.
Subscriptions for these licenses will not renew.
Please download all files before June 30, 2026, as they will no longer be available or hosted afterward.
Schools that purchased or renewed a Pinwheels, Wand, and/or Grammar License for the 2025-2026 academic year, please note:
- You are welcome to continue using these programs for classroom instruction in future years, beyond the expiration of your 2025-2026 license, at no additional cost. This offer is only valid for schools that maintain an active program license for the 2025-2026 school year. Program files and resources may not be shared or used beyond the school location for which an active 2025-2026 license is maintained. If your school has not yet renewed your 2025-2026 license but would like to take advantage of ongoing use of these programs, contact us before July 31, 2025.
- In June 2026, we will provide access to the instructional videos for the Pinwheels, Wand, and Grammar programs via private playlists on the Rooted in Language YouTube channel. These will remain available at least through July 15, 2028, so your teachers can continue to access these supportive resources.
- Please be aware that customer support will end on July 15, 2026.

Subscription Renewals
Foundations Educator Course Subscriptions
Monthly renewals for active Foundations course subscribers will continue through May 30, 2026, unless you cancel prior to that date.
Course access will end on your subscription expiration date (30-days after your last renewal payment) or no later than June 30, 2026.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Rooted Shop Account under My Profile & Subscriptions.
School License Subscriptions

Customer Support
How to Reach Us
Customer support will be available through our website Help Chat and help email, Monday thru Friday, generally from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Eastern, through November 30, 2025.
The Help Chat also provides FAQs for quick answers.
As a small team, response times may take 1-2 business days.
Beginning December 1, 2025, our support resources will be reduced, and response times may extend to 4–5 business days.
Customer support will end on July 15, 2026, and no assistance will be available after that date.
Office Hours
We will continue to provide free monthly Office Hours through November 2025.
There will be no Office Hours in December.
From January through March 2026, we may occasionally host pop-up Office Hours, depending on team availability. These sessions will not follow a regular schedule but will be announced in advance on our social media channels.
Rooted Community
The Rooted Community Facebook group will continue to operate as usual through November 30, 2025, with full access to posting, commenting, and support.
Beginning December 1, 2025, our team’s monitoring and moderation hours will be reduced. To help manage this change, all new posts will require approval before appearing in the group.
The Rooted Community will be archived in 2026, sometime on or before June 30, 2026. We will post a notice in the group before the final archival date. Once archived, the group will become read-only — all existing posts and comments will remain viewable and searchable, but no new activity will be allowed.
We are grateful for the vibrant community that’s grown here and encourage you to continue making the most of it during this final season.

Will Pinwheels printed coil-bound student books still be sold?
Yes. The last day to purchase printed Pinwheels student books from the Rooted Shop is February 28, 2026. However, the printed books will continue to be available for purchase directly on the Lulu Publishing site for the foreseeable future.
Rooted in Language reserves the right to remove any product from the Lulu Publishing site at any time, without notice.
Pinwheels owners can also order printed materials from any printing company they choose using the PDF downloads provided in the curriculum.

Will Pinwheels Year 3 be published?
Due to our planned closure, we will not be publishing Pinwheels Year 3.
Instead, we recommend the following:
- Wand literacy program paired with the Foundations educator course
- Grammar Bugs program plus Grammar & Mechanics educator course
What will happen to all the helpful free resources?
The informational content and free resources on our website will remain visible at least through July 15, 2026. A decision about hosting free content beyond that date has not been made.
Our Rooted in Language YouTube channel will continue to be available with literacy-related reels and videos at least through July 15, 2028.
